Hushbell

Balance the bells

A summer porch, a quiet breeze, and a wind chime that is not finished yet. Hang every bell so each bar rests level, and when the chime is still, the wind plays the melody you built.

The sky on this page follows your clock, just like the porch in the game.

Think first, hang second

How to play

Every bell shows its weight on a paper strip. Every chime has exactly one answer.

1

Hang a bell

Drag a bell from the bamboo rod onto a hook, or tap a bell and then a hook.

2

Level every bar

Each side pulls weight × distance. A heavy bell close in balances a light bell far out. A bar only tilts once all its hooks are filled.

3

Listen

When the whole chime is still, the wind arrives. Heavier bells sing lower, and the order you chose becomes the song.

A short lesson for every rule

Eleven bite-sized lessons open right before the chime that needs them: weight × distance, the bar below, the last hook, bells that are too heavy to hang far out, wrapped bells and more. Each one is a tiny chime you solve yourself, with a line that says what you just learned.

8 = 2×3 + 2×1?×1 + ?×2

  • Show the sums writes the pull of each side above every bar while you play.
  • Lessons notebook in Settings keeps every lesson you have opened, to replay any time.
  • Hints that teach: a hint points at the rule to use next, with a button to its lesson, instead of placing a bell for you.

Quiet puzzles, real logic

  • One answer, no guessing. Every chime is checked by a solver so it can be solved by reasoning alone.
  • Three rings on each chime: hung right first, heard it yourself, and a lovely melody.
  • Daily Chime: the same chime for everyone, gentle on Monday and harder by Saturday, with streaks and rest days.
  • Share a clip of your chime ringing, with a result grid that gives nothing away.
