These terms apply to Many Hands (the "App"). By downloading or playing the App you agree to them and, depending on where you got the App, to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement or the Google Play Terms of Service.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the App, its puzzles, lessons, seals, sounds or text, except where the law allows it. The paintings the murals are made from are public domain (CC0 open access from The Met, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Rijksmuseum and the National Gallery of Art); images of murals you share are yours to share.
The shared mural
- Each mural is shared by every player. A square you take is held for you for a limited time (currently 10 minutes); after that, or after too many wrong submits, it goes back to the pool for someone else.
- Squares you solve are printed on the mural with your seal and stay part of it. Seals carry no names or text.
- Murals, issues, rules and timings may change, and a mural may occasionally pause during maintenance. The offline Sketchbook is for practice and is not part of any shared mural.
Purchases and ads
- The App is free to play and shows ads. "Remove ads" is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that turns off the ads between squares on devices using the same Apple Account or Google account.
- "Borrow a hand" (one row painted for you) can be unlocked by watching an optional rewarded ad. Watching it is always your choice.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google Play under their terms. Use Restore in Settings on a new device.
Game Center and Google Play Games
Leaderboards and achievements are provided by Apple Game Center or Google Play Games under their own terms. We may reset or remove scores or squares that come from cheating or a technical error.
Fair play
Please do not interfere with the App, the shared murals or our servers: no automated tools or scripts to take or submit squares, no attempts to hold squares you are not solving, and no use of the App that breaks the law. We may limit or block a device that does.
Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it or the shared murals will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
Privacy and changes
How the App handles information is described in our Privacy Policy. We may update these terms; the effective date above shows the latest version.
